JACOB PICKETT RESPONSE ORGANIZATION INC
Mission
About Us
Deputy Jacob Pickett, Boone County Sheriff’s Office, was shot in the line of duty on March 2nd, 2018 while pursuing a suspect with his K9 Brik. After several days on life support, Jake died on March 5th after donating his organs giving life to others. Jake died at the age of 34, leaving behind a wife and two sons, ages 3 and 4. Service to others was one of Jake’s greatest passions and he was constantly assisting others in need.
As an organization, we will promote and maintain his legacy of helping others. Jen Pickett, is Deputy Jacob Pickett’s surviving spouse. Her goal is to bring life to this organization that will help others in the law enforcement family. As a law enforcement officer’s (LEO) wife for years, she knows the ties in law enforcement are strong and we are all one large blue family. After losing Jake in the line of duty, she has felt the bonds of that family more than ever. Her mission is to pay forward that love and kindness. Other LEO families need assistance in areas beyond line of duty injuries and deaths, whether it is a life altering diagnosis, natural disaster, or suicide. Jen wants others to know that in this family no one fights alone.
As an organization, we will Respond like Jake!
