Black Girls With Green Thumbs

  • About Us

Founded in 2016, Black Girls With Green Thumbs (BGWGT) is a community-based organization focused on urban gardening and community engagement. Through gardening workshops, online engagement, and community programming, Black Girls With Green Thumbs is growing a community who garden in their homes and within their communities to heal, nourish, and learn. BGWGT promotes health literacy in a way that is culturally competent and accessible meeting community members where they are, online and within their neighborhoods, and inviting them to new experiences like home gardening, plant-based cooking, and even health-inspired getaways.
