About Us

REV is a nonprofit, nonpartisan trade association representing nearly 300 businesses, individuals, colleges and others committed to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and expanding the availability of renewable sources of power in Vermont. Our membership is continually broadening, reflecting a shared perspective that renewable energy is the best solution building a clean, sustainable and secure energy future. Vermont has a history of innovative and independent leadership, and we believe our state can become a national beacon of change and renewal through renewable energy.

REV's mission is two-fold. Our primary mission is to drive and dramatically increase the growth of renewables and efficiency businesses in Vermont through public education, business promotion and networking opportunities, increasing job trainings and opportunities, lobbying and shaping energy policy in Montpelier, and devleoping a cohesive renewables business network.

By achieving the first part of our mission, REV will succeed in achieving our second, social mission of transforming Vermont's economy with sustainable energy jobs, ensuring a secure, local, sustainable energy future for our state and driving environmental energy policy that will protect the planet now and for generations to come.
