About New Left Accelerator (NLA)

NLA runs a capacity building program to support hybrid organizations (i.e. organizations that use 501(c)(4)s, LLCs, and PACs, in addition to 501(c)(3)s). NLA operates the only Accelerator Program designed expressly to help progressive hybrid organizations build power and influence.

Currently, NLA runs a 20-month Accelerator Program that supports eight progressive power-building organizations. In addition, NLA oversees pilot programs in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia that collaborates with state ecosystems leaders to build infrastructure to support and scale 501(c)(4)s work in the state. You can read more about the programs here and here.

NLA has a national team with extensive backgrounds in operating accelerator programs and providing organizational development, strategic planning consulting, leadership coaching, and technical assistance. We work in partnership with RoadMap, a nation-wide network of diverse consultants with deep experience in equity and social justice work, to co-design and run our Accelerator Program.

All of our work is designed in partnership with leaders and staff to meet the unique needs of each individual organization or state ecosystem. Our programs are highly collaborative, leveraging the strengths and extensive knowledge of leaders and partners, and centering deep collaboration. You can read more about our values here.

NLA has a 501(c)(3) called The Capacity Shop (TCS): https://www.thecapacityshop.org/
