  • Mission

ShelterTech is a technology-focused non-profit dedicated to helping people who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Our goal is to make it easier for this community to connect with resources that can help them address their challenges, become permanently housed, and on track to live happy and productive lives. ShelterTech believes everyone has the right to be connected, which has become a necessity in today’s world. Through continuous outreach and collaboration, we are committed to ensuring that our solutions are built by the community for the community.

    About Us

ShelterTech is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to leveraging technology and connectivity to help people who are homeless or housing insecure. ShelterTech has its roots directly in the community, founded in 2016 by Darcel Jackson, an individual who experienced homelessness firsthand.

Launched in November 2019, SF ServiceGuide is an online directory of human services in San Francisco. Its goal is to help anyone with access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer find the services they need. SFServiceGuide includes a variety of services, such as shelters, food kitchens, medical services, rental assistance, and eviction prevention.

ShelterConnect is a free, WiFi solution for shelters and transitional housing facilities. Partnering with the City of San Francisco and Cisco to provide broadband and hardware, respectively, ShelterConnect gives residents consistent connectivity needed to access resources and to get back on their feet.
