Busy Brains Children's Museum

What? Busy Brains will be an interactive museum, focused on art, science, and humanities. We will have exhibits for children from birth to age 10, programming for school field trips, and a birthday party space. Right now we offer our traveling exhibits for company picnics, birthday parties and school rentals. 

Why? The children of Lake County NEED such a resource. They need a place to play, to learn, to spend time with their parents and caregivers, and to interact with other children in a safe setting. They need to have such a place close to home, not an hour away!

Who? A group of parents, educators, and business people committed to filling the need for a children’s museum in Lake County, Illinois.  

When? We hope to open in 2019.

Where? The building at 130 Cedar Avenue in downtown Lake Villa was donated to us in 2015. It is 14,000 square feet---plenty of room for lots of learning! 

How? With the help of the residents, businesses, and people such as you, Busy Brains is working to raise the money needed to design and construct our exhibits.  We are always looking for new ideas, new talents and new volunteers to help us.
