RRUFF Healing Heroes

  • Mission

Support and empower disabled veterans and first responders through canine-assisted therapy and other healing strategies

    About Us

RRUFF was originally formed to establish the first off-leash dog park in Rocklin, Ca. The dog park opened December 23, 2011. In 2014 our mission expanded and Healing Heroes became a program of RRUFF. This program is dedicated to providing funding for service dog training expenses to veterans and first responders with post traumatic stress disorder and other invisible disabilities. Classes are held throughout the greater Sacramento, Placer, Yuba, and El Dorado counties. We continue to manage the RRUFF Dog Park inside Johnson-Springview park. And we continue to fund veterinary care for service dogs in-training as well as assist in finding and adopting, rescuing or purchasing dogs to match with veterans in the program. We have grown substantially over the past 14 years, and look forward to continued expansion and collaboration within the nonprofit community . Our focus is to raise the funding needed for the veterans and first responders in the service dog training classes, as well as maintaining the RRUFF Dog Park.
