The Furniture Society

The Furniture Society was founded in 1996 to advance the art of furniture making. Growing from under 200 original members to well over 1200 today, the Society offers programs to members from North America as well as Europe and Australia. Guided by our mission to advance the art of furniture making, by inspiring creativity, promoting excellence, and fostering an understanding of this art, our programs educate both the general public and the various communities in the field through exhibitions, publications, conferences and our growing website.
