Consumer Health Foundation
1400 16th Street, NW
Established in 1994 with the assets derived from the sale of Group Health Association to Humana, Inc., the Consumer Health Foundation (CHF) is the only private grant-making foundation in the Washington, DC metropolitan community whose mission is to advocate for health and racial equity through programs and investments that advance the health and well-being of low-income communities and communities of color. We are furthering this mission through CHF’s four programs – grantmaking and capacity building, strategic communication, strategic partnerships, and mission consistent investing. Please see our website for additional information: www.consumerhealthfdn.org.
CHF also serves as the program office for the Regional Primary Care Coalition (RPCC). The mission of the Regional Primary Care Coalition is to catalyze regional collaboration to improve access to health services, quality of healthcare, and the underlying determinants of health in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, with a particular emphasis on the region’s low-income population. RPCC’s website is found at www.regionalprimarycare.org
