    The Domestic Violence Shelter, Inc., known in the community as "The Shelter", has been providing comprehensive services for youth and adults for 38 years. These services focus on intervening and preventing domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence. Beginning as a grassroots effort by some dedicated women in the area, the agency was established as a vital part of the social service community.
