About Us

UUJAZ is a faith-based 501c3 that began in January 2014.  We have a small staff of two half-time professionals that engages volunteers to work with us to:

nurture congregational justice ministries by

·         providing annual worship services

·         offering congregational workshops

·         presenting Issue & Action Day each October

networks activists and congregations across Arizona

·         through our Issue Action Groups that meet monthly by Zoom on this year’s issues—Immigration, Education, Racial Justice, Income Inequality, and Water.

·         by building relationships between congregations through our cluster groups—the Baja Four, Arriba! (Northern AZ), and El Centro (Greater Phoenix area & Yuma)—for collaboration on regional justice building

·         by alerting Arizona UUs to justice opportunities on our UUJAZ Facebook page, www.facebook.com/uujaz

empowers Unitarian Universalists to give voice to their values at the legislature

·         by hosting UU Day at the Legislature and the trainings to help participants feel effective and confident

·         by publishing the amazing Legislative Alert e-newsletter that provides a consistent ongoing overview of policy level justice at the Arizona State Legislature and around our state.
