  • About Us

The SIT Graduate Institute's Conflict Transformation Across Cultures-CONTACT programs engage participants in experiential training that focuses on the professional development of peace builders and their communities. It offers core skills and practical tools for analyzing and responding to conflict in inter-group and communal life. Drawing upon the direct experiences of participants as well as faculty, CONTACT explores ways to confront the past, intervene in the present, and create a shared vision for a secure and sustainable common future.

CONTACT offers a Summer Peacebuilding Institute and a Graduate Certificate program with tracks in Civil Society Inititatives in Peacebuilding, the Psychosocial Foundations of Peacebuilding, and Peacebuilding in the African Context. Credits earned in these programs can be applied to SIT’s Joint Graduate Certificate/Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation or Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management.
