    Volunteer Opportunity: Experienced English Teacher for Veterans & Military Families

    Location: Remote / Online (Zoom) – United States

    Mission:

    VET Global Impact is seeking passionate and experienced English teachers to support U.S. veterans and their families, particularly those from non-English speaking backgrounds. Our goal is to improve English proficiency, empowering military families to navigate daily life, access resources, and enhance their quality of life—especially during periods of deployment.

    Volunteer Role:

    As an English Teacher, you will:

    • Lead two weekly Zoom classes (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) focused on practical English skills.
    • Assist military spouses, dependents, and veterans in improving communication for personal, professional, and social success.
    • Collaborate with a team of volunteers, sharing responsibilities to provide consistent, high-quality instruction.
    • Support a welcoming and encouraging learning environment tailored to adult learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.

    Qualifications:

    • Native or fluent English speaker with teaching experience.
    • Experience teaching adults or non-native English speakers preferred.
    • Passion for supporting military and veteran families.
    • Comfortable teaching online via Zoom and managing small to medium class sizes.

    VET Global Impact is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering veterans, service members, and underserved communities both in the United States and internationally. Our mission is to foster mental health, career readiness, and family integration for veterans, while creating sustainable social impact initiatives that uplift Congolese youth in Kinshasa, DRC.

    Through education, vocational training, mentorship, and project funding, we equip youth and adults alike with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our programs include free training in digital marketing, project management, administrative assistance, and online customer service, alongside community outreach, civic engagement campaigns, and employment support.

    As a new and dynamic organization led by veterans and experienced international partners, we are building innovative solutions for pressing social challenges. We invite passionate volunteers to join us in shaping a brighter future for veterans and youth globally, contributing their skills, creativity, and energy to initiatives that create lasting impact.
