One House At A Time Baltimore, Inc.
One House At
A Time, Inc. (OHAAT) is a nonprofit organization whose primary function is to
improve the quality of life in Baltimore by acting as a court appointed agent
to convey, raze, or rehabilitate vacant and nuisance properties and assist in
the creation of safer, more stable communities.
As a court-appointed receiver, OHAAT approves bidders, advertises and
administers auctions, and helps move the transfer of title through the court
system. The receivership process that
OHAAT has helped develop is recognized as a national model that is now being
used by other organizations and cities.
