As part of American University's School of International Service in Washington, D.C., the Intercultural Management Institute (IMI) provides customized training for effective communication, negotiation and leadership across cultures. IMI offers training programs and consulting services to corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations faced with the need to effectively manage cultural differences. IMI offers skills institutes and academic courses, and also conducts academic research on a wide range of intercultural topics.
