The Bitter Jester Foundation for the Arts, NFP (BJFA) is a not-for-profit Arts Foundation that operates and manages the award-winning Comic Thread sketch comedy troupe (BEST GROUP: LA Comedy Fest; AUDIENCE CHOICE: Chicago Fringe Fest; "Brilliant" according to SNL founding cast member Garrett Morris), The Bitter Jester Battle of the Bands, and other arts-related activities and opportunities. BJFA is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization in Illinois created to produce and promote all forms of artistic expression. The company was founded to produce live music and theatrical productions of new and classic works as well as other forms of literary arts, performing arts, media arts, audio/visual arts and entertainment productions BJFA works to strengthen the arts, support emerging artists of all ages, and encourage persons to enter the arts by providing scholarships and grants to fine and applied arts students and by promoting the benefits of the arts to the general public. BJFA is proudly affiliated with Bitter Jester Creative, a 6-time Emmy award-winning Chicagoland production company.
