Bethlehem Farm is a Catholic nonprofit organization in Appalachia that transforms lives through service with the local community and the teaching of sustainable practices. We invite volunteers to join us in living the cornerstones of prayer, community, service, and simplicity.
The purpose of Bethlehem Farm's flagship "Repairing Homes, Renewing Communities" program is to improve the housing conditions of low-income residents of Summers, Monroe, and Greenbrier Counties, West Virginia while forming relationships with local residents. Typical projects include: roof repair, weatherization, window replacement, porch repair, additions, wheelchair ramps, and exterior siding. Each year, over 400 volunteers join the Farm staff for a week of service, simplicity, community, and prayer.
