    Teach-NYS was started in 1995 with a coalition of Catholic and Jewish organizations.

    Recognizing the critical relationship between government funding and the success of Jewish day schools, the OU decided to increase the resources behind Teach-NYS in 2012.

    Teach-NYS is funded and governed by a network of Jewish day schools who pay annual fees to this project, foundational support, and the OU.
