  • Mission

To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

    About Us

Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging. It is a brain disorder that progressively robs people of their ability to remember, think, understand, and communicate. Symptoms are accompanied by disorientation and often, mood and personality changes. Alzheimer's is a disease that destroys and impairs brain cells, and while there is hope with many drugs currently in clinical trial, there is yet no cure.

More than 65,000 Coloradoans are living with Alzheimer's disease. Meeting their needs is the number one priority of the Colorado Chapter. We are Colorado's only organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing the long journey that is Alzheimer's. We provide education and training, support groups, counseling, our 24-hour Helpline and the Medic Alert + Safe Return program to every count in the state through seven regional offices.

Volunteers are the key to our success. More than 700 volunteers provide education, training, support, fundraising and special event staffing for the Alzheimer's Assocation or Colorado. Opportunities include our Helpline, database maintenance, the Ambassador program and facilitation of our art program. Join our team and make a difference.
