We got our start when a young starving bunny was dumped on the property of founder Elizabeth Olson. She took him in, cared for him, fell in love, and set about learning all she could about rabbits. Soon after, she found another abandoned bunny, filthy and frightened, running down the middle of a highway. She began posting about her rescued rabbits, other people started asking her for rabbit help, and she found some like-minded bunny friends to pitch in. That was in 2015. In 2019, Bunanza became a registered non-profit. Since then, we've adopted out hundreds of bunnies to loving homes. Additionally, we educate people on caring for pet rabbits, provide grooming services, board bunnies when their owners are away, and more. Rabbits and adopters come to us from all over Washington State. Through social media, our educational efforts have a national and even international reach.
