Ek Tara

Ek Tara is a non-profit based in Kolkata, India that aims to empower girls and women in the largest urban slum community of Eastern India, by providing quality education and creating livelihood opportunities to enable positive community transformation. Ek Tara runs programs on Education, Health and Hygiene, Nutrition, and Community Engagement. Our mission is to focus on educating and supporting children with an emphasis on young girls, creating community leaders, and providing for positive long term societal impact leading to change.
