    Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center was formed in 1990, with a mission to protect and restore Costa Rica's biodiversity through wildlife rescue and release, endangered species breeding, and lifetime care for non-releasable wildlife. It is the largest rescue center of its kind and works with officials, the government, and residents all over Costa Rica to rescue and rehabilitate nearly 3000 animals per year.
