To work together to build safer lives free from domestic abuse and sexual violence by:

• Educating and preventing through early intervention, training and campaigning,
• Protecting and supporting through the provision of services to help safeguard and reach out to those experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence,
• Enabling coping and underpinning recovery by providing a full range of services to help people build resilience and move on to healthier, happier lives,
• Giving a voice to those who suffer in silence and influencing others to bring about positive change.

First Light is a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and more widely across England and Wales who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police, and every year we help thousands of people of all ages and genders across England and Wales to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.
