Roxbury Weston Programs
About Roxbury Weston Programs
Roxbury Weston has been a trusted institution since 1965, meeting the need for quality educational experiences for all children. During the civil rights movement, Roxbury Weston Programs was founded by families from Roxbury and Weston in order to build bridges between urban and suburban communities. Today, with sites in Roxbury and Weston, this not-for-profit provides preschool and after-school enrichment programs and serves families from Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Lincoln, Mattapan, Natick, Roslindale, Roxbury, Sudbury, Waltham, Wayland, Wellesley and Weston.
Roxbury Weston Programs creates an open and intentional environment of cultural, socio-economic, linguistic, and cognitive diversity. Guiding children’s experiences alerts them to their world around them and transforms their learning and understanding.
The Roxbury Weston preschool and CATCH afterschool program recognize the developmental needs of the whole child with equal emphasis placed on physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. Teachers design the curriculum to meet each child’s individual interests and needs, understanding that each child learns at his or her own pace and in his or her own way and time.
