Canines & Company

Canines & Company is a registered 501(c)(3) organization recently founded in July 2016 to bring specially trained rescue dogs to the community. We offer animal assisted activities to students, families, and anyone who can benefit from the healing power of the human-animal bond. Our mission is to provide dogs rescued from the shelter system to improve the mental, emotional, and physical well-being for those they interact with.

Our current programs include a Therapy Dog Troupe, which visits a variety of facilities to provide educational and therapeutic presentations for participants, and an Adoption Program, which includes rescuing dogs from high kill shelters and preparing them for family life in their forever homes through training by the professional dog trainers of Found Chicago Boarding and Training Center.

Canines & Company is the sister non-profit to Found Chicago Boarding and Training Center, which hosts some of our programs and assists in housing our rescue dogs in training before being placed in foster homes.
