  • Mission

San Francisco Friends School educates girls and boys in the tradition of Quaker learning. By example and commitment, we hope to inspire all connected with our school to work together toward a peaceful and caring society.

    About Us

We are a K-8, co-educational, independent school that combines academic excellence with Quaker values of simplicity, integrity, mutual respect, service to others, and peaceful problem-solving. Established in 2002 as the only Friends school in the Bay Area, SFFS is further set apart by our first-rate academic program and by our particular mission to help children learn community service and become socially conscious and active citizens. The SFFS landscape is composed of families from every walk of life. Over one-quarter of our families receive tuition assitance and we are committed to supporting students of different means through our robust scholarship program.
