    Lenox Hill Hospital's overall mission is: a) to provide quality health care services; b) to provide medical education and to promote and carry on research and scholarly activity to enhance the quality of services provided; 3) to promote public health through the ongoing identification of changing community needs and development of plans to meet these needs.

    About Us

    Lenox Hill is a not-for-profit 652-bed acute care teaching hospital located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. It serves individuals who live in, work in or visit New York City, and people from other areas whose needs for certain tertiary or specialty services can best be met by Lenox Hill Hospital. Founded in 1857, the Hospital has long been a leader in many specialties such as cardiac care, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk neonatal care and pediatrics. The Hospital is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care, providing medical education and training, and enhancing the health and well-being of the community through public health education and community outreach programs.
