  • About Us

Emmaus House is a spiritual community in central Harlem that assists homeless people by feeding the neighboring poor, offering hospitality to temporary guests, and enabling long term residents to gain the skills they need to change their lives. Emmaus House is a ministry of the Orthodox Christian Church, inspired by the work of Dorothy Day and founded and directed by the Father David Kirk until his death last year.
