About Us

Pope John Paul II Family Academy is a private Catholic, co-educational school in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Founded in the fall of 2009, the Academy currently offers Pre-Kindergarten to the Fourth Grade. A class will be added each subsequent year up to, and including, the Eighth Grade.

Funded entirely by a generous benefactor, the school offers a tuition-free education to eligible families. To be eligible, a family must be a practicing Catholic from the Bushwick, Brooklyn area and eligible for free or reduced school lunches. In exchange for a tuition free education, families partner with the school by means of a Covenant promising active participation in family faith formation, interest in the academic programs, and non-financial support of the Academy.
