  • About Us

The Broward College Foundation (Broward College was known as Broward Community College until July 2008, when the State of Florida approved its name change because it started offering 4-year degrees) is the 501(c)(3) for Broward College, helping acquire the funds to provide scholarships, capital campaigns and program support. Despite popular myths to the contrary, state colleges in Florida are not fully funded by the State, and Broward College has an approximately $7 million shortfall each year that the Foundation is charged with raising.
