    Citizens Housing Corporation (CHC) is a non-profit, public benefit corporation established in 1992 in response to the severe shortage of affordable housing across California, and particularly in the Bay Area. CHC ’s mission is two-fold: · To increase and preserve the stock of housing available to low-income households in California through the development of affordable rental and homeownership projects. · To improve economic and social welfare of low-income residents of CHC developments and the surrounding community by developing new models of affordable housing in partnership with social service, economic development, and community-based organizations.
