Trauma Healing Project

About Us

Our Vision:

We envision a vibrant and connected community where anyone impacted by violence, abuse or other trauma receives the support and attention they need to fully recover and to reach their highest potential. We are committed to liberation and social justice and to the elimination of oppression in all its forms, and understand individual and collective trauma healing to be required if we are to be successful in our efforts.

Our Mission and Work:

To achieve our vision, we work to increase capacity within the larger community to promote and support trauma healing. Specifically, we work with community members, professionals and organizations to raise awareness and to identify, develop, support and promote many options for healing and for preventing trauma in our local community and beyond.

We understand the impact of trauma and adversity on health and wellbeing and believe it is possible to heal and thrive, even if things have been hard for a very long time.   We offer a variety of healing modalities that can be beneficial in many ways, including managing and healing past trauma, and reducing anxiety, pain and daily stress. The combination of these methods can bring healing not only to your body, but also your mind and emotions, bringing positive change to your daily life.  Our program is easy to enroll in, and all are welcome, regardless of the ability to pay.

We also provide education, training and support for community members, professions and organizations

  • To increase and support the competency, effectiveness and well-being of all levels of human service, health, mental health, and educational system workers to ensure their capacity to provide services and programs that meet the needs of community members impacted by trauma
  • To support child and adult human services, health, mental health and educational systems and organizations to implement and sustain programs and services that are safe for and responsive to the needs of survivors of trauma (trauma-informed care)

Our Vision:

We envision a vibrant and connected community where anyone impacted by violence, abuse or other trauma receives the support and attention they need to fully recover and to reach their highest potential. We are committed to…
