About Us

The UNC Center for Global Health and Infectious Diseases (GHID) is a multi-departmental center within the School of Medicine which exists to conduct infectious disease-related scientific, clinical, epidemiological, and behavioral research domestically and internationally, as well as provide technical assistance for the developing of HIV care and prevention programs.

Specifically, the Behavior and Technology Lab at UNC (BATLab) facilitates health behavior change through conducting technology-based research on all aspects of sexual health including factors that impact the acquisition, transmission, and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. The UNC Behavior and Technology Lab is a part of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill School of Medicine
