About Us

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers partners with 6 non-profits in Bend OR to provide 10 AmeriCorps positions to the community. Our members provide direct service and educational support alongside agency staff. Our sites and number of members are listed below. As a AmeriCorps member you would technically be a federal volunteer on a stipend. Every member receives a Living Allowance of $13,732 paid in bi-weekly increments, also at the completion of a 11 month service term each member receives a Education Award of $5,920 which can be used to make payments on federal loans or to go towards paying tuition at any accredited school. We discuss at length in the program uses of the Education Award. All positions begin around September 1st 2018 and conclude by July 28th 2019. A service year is 1700 hours, the vast majority of these are served at your service site, though a percentage does go to professional and personal development as well. This break-down is also discussed at length if accepted as a 2018/2019 AmeriCorps member.
