About Us

CASA Minnesota believes that every abused and neglected child finding themselves in the Minnesota court system should have a volunteer advocate working for their best interests.

CASA Minnesota’s Mission:

“To support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocates to ensure every abused and neglected child in Minnesota has a safe, stable and permanent family.”

Since 2005, CASA Minnesota (CASA MN) has helped recruit, train and retain volunteer Guardians ad Litem in Hennepin and Ramsey counties. We are committed to raising public awareness about child welfare issues and the critical role of Guardians ad Litem. We believe that our volunteers play an essential role and are contributing factors to positive long-lasting impact.

CASA Minnesota also provides CASA Cares Grants to children and youth in foster care. Being a kid in foster care is tough, and they don't get the same opportunities that other kids have. CASA Cares can provide up to $500.00 per child per year to kids in foster care for some of the things that make childhood awesome. Bikes and helmets. Summer camp. Music Lessons. Native American Dance Regalia.

“To give a child a volunteer advocate is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope, and to give them hope is to give them the world. I believe that with all my heart.”
