  • About Us

Springfield Promise Neighborhood seeks motivated, passionate, committed individuals who can help us build community-led change, support resident leaders, build relationships with area providers and partner organizations, and innovate new ways of community development, leadership, investment, and engagement.

The long-term goal of poverty alleviation depends upon the academic and social success of children such as those who attend Lincoln, Kenwood, Perrin Woods, and Fulton Elementary schools and the neighboring communities who reside in the south side of Springfield, Ohio. These students reside in highly mobile and under-resourced communities lacking playgrounds, day care facilities, and the kind of enrichment and civic associations that mark a vibrant place to live and raise a family. Academic and social growth requires that children benefit in their development, particularly in their earliest years, from the interactive support of thriving schools and thriving communities.

Each year we serve over 300 youth in academic, social, and skill-building programming and events. Similarly, we offer a host of events and activities for parents & families throughout the year to help be strong parents, role models, and community leaders.
