  • About Us

The Society of St. Andrew brings people together to harvest and share healthy food, reduce waste, and build caring communities by offering nourishment to neighbors in need. We are a 40-year old, faith-based nonprofit, with a $3.0 million annual budget and national reach, known for our gleaning networks that mobilize volunteers to pick, dig, or gather surplus fresh fruits and vegetables that otherwise would go to waste, sharing them with nearby soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters. In 2018, SoSA distributed 69 million servings of nourishing food, with the help of more than 29,800 volunteers across 30 states.
