The Abramson Scholarship Foundation
P.O. Box 7810
The Abramson Scholarship Foundation helps ensure that motivated District of Columbia public and public charter high school graduates have the opportunity to attend college and the tools to succeed once they get there.
Our program employs a two-fold approach to accomplish this. First, the Foundation provides critical financial assistance to students who might not be able to attend college without the Foundation’s help. Second, and equally important, the Foundation provides Scholars with personal and professional guidance through individual mentors and programs in order to foster their academic success, emotional growth, and professional development.
The Foundation was established as a continuing tribute to the memory of Frederick B. Abramson, a distinguished member of the Washington legal community who had a rich and varied legal career. Over the past 25 years, the Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to over 280 students. We currently support approximately 30 Scholars who are at various stages of their college experience.
