    Founded in 1968, MALDEF is the nation’s leading Latino legal civil rights organization. Often described as the “law firm of the Latino community”, MALDEF promotes social change through legislative and regulatory advocacy, high impact litigation, communications, and community education in the areas of education, employment, immigrant rights, political access, and public resource equity. The DC office handles national policy, regulatory, and legislative matters and litigation in the southeastern quadrant of the U.S.
