About Us

Named in honor of our 41st president, Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government & Public Service embodies the philosophy of President George H.W. Bush. President Bush believed that public service is a noble calling and that men and women of character can make a difference in their states and in their country.

Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, just two blocks from the White House, the Bush School DC offers graduate students a path to a successful career in national security, diplomacy, intelligence, and foreign policy. 

The Bush School DC provides students with the tools to understand complex issues through rigorous coursework and in-depth discussions led by well-published scholars and seasoned practitioners from federal agencies with two stellar graduate degree programs and a graduate certificate:

Master of National Security & Intelligence (NSI)

Master of International Policy (MIP)

Certificate or Advanced International Affairs

A special source of pride for the Bush School DC is our dedicated faculty, accomplished practitioners with real-world experience in national security, foreign affairs, and diplomatic relations. Small, in-person classes provide an optimum learning environment that will provide students with a stellar educational experience in an intimate space that promotes thought-provoking conversation among students and faculty.

The Bush School DC benefits from the strength and stellar reputation of Texas A&M’s Bush School in College Station, Texas, as well as the vast resources of Texas A&M University, one of the largest state university systems in the country.

In addition, students have access to the strength of the Aggie network, a worldwide support system of over 500,000 alumni in more than 165 countries. The Aggie network is known for its character and loyalty, along with the desire to help fellow former students.
