About Us

Philanthropy Northwest is the network for philanthropists committed to Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. Our shared long-term vision is that Northwest communities have vibrant, healthy futures that honor our past, our people and our cultures. Founded in 1976, we build, connect and inspire the philanthropic community through professional development, networking, research, publications, public policy work and consulting.

Our organization has three segments: 1) The Learning Network, a regional association of foundations and corporate giving programs that provides opportunities for our members and partners to connect, learn, build capacity and grow; 2) The Giving Practice, our national consulting team that brings customized solutions, deep place-based relationships and expertise to support foundations and corporate giving programs navigate the changing landscape of today’s philanthropy; 3) an incubation platform for innovative philanthropic projects, including Cascadia Foodshed Financing Project and Community Democracy Workshop.
