Temple Israel of Hollywood

Temple Israel of Hollywood, a Reform congregation in the heart of Los Angeles, is seeking an exemplary leader and manager to serve as Executive Director. Founded in 1926, TIOH has long been defined by its focus on inclusive and meaningful worship, its dedication to social justice, its commitment to lifelong learning, and its deep sense of community. Diverse and dynamic, the congregation is made up of more than 900 households—families and individuals of all backgrounds, including Jews from all over the world of Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox upbringing; Jews by choice; and individuals married to Jews.

The Temple prides itself on providing a meaningful and fulfilling lifelong Jewish experience. Its mission is to foster connection with God, Jewish identity, Jewish tradition, and Jewish peoplehood. Close-knit, warm, and caring, TIOH attracts members from a wide radius who want to be part of this “home away from home”—a haven to counterbalance the pressures of big-city life.

The Temple continues to evolve. New initiatives include efforts to further increase the diversity of membership, draw more members into worship and the spiritual life of the Temple, continue to grow its three schools, and maintain the excellence of TIOH’s educational programs. In addition, the Temple is currently in the midst of a major capital campaign and building expansion.
