About Us
La Giraudiere is more than just a website it is a place, an old French charentaise masters house or maison d'maitre which fell into dis-repair after being neglected for 50 years or more. Now it is being renovated, restored and converted into a hamlet, a place of international learning, a place being brought back to life and at the same time adding to the lives of those who help make it happen. The Property and it's grounds are being restored and reinstated along with it's new website by those that stay here. People from all walks of life who have a passion for France and the French way of life are arriving from around the world to contribute towards the project in south west France. Students, pensioners, professionals have all contributed to both the property restoration, the park and it's website.
La Giraudiere is presently being restored and converted into a place of Learning a place where school children of primary school age can learn about France and the French way of life. You can visit the website at School Trips to France for more information
La Giraudiere is located in the south west of France 1 kilometer from the village of Brossac in the department of the Charente.
