About Us
Our mission is to celebrate the perseverance, education, and cultural heritage of Africans, African Americans, and Caribbean people of African descent. Primary purposes of the organization are to develop and implement a multi-faceted celebration of the arrival of Kunta Kinte in Annapolis; to increase public awareness of the various manifestations of African American culture and its relationship to other cultures; and to provide positive economic opportunities for small and/or minority-owned businesses.
