#NotUsSC exists to improve maternal health outcomes through culturally relevant education for Black women, their support networks, and the broader community--ensuring that no one dies giving life. Not me. Not her. Not us. Not anymore.
#NotUsSC is a South Carolina-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to improve maternal health outcomes through culturally relevant, community-informed education. We create trusted print and digital materials-such as brochures, palm cards, and guides-that reflect the lived experiences of Black women, while promoting evidence-based care and support. Our resources are reviewed by a community-led Materials Review Committee, including licensed clinicians, to ensure accuracy and cultural alignment. Materials are distributed through trusted community spaces like churches, beauty supply stores, barbershops, and daycares. #NotUsSC also curates the Real Faces Image Bank, a publicly available photo library that provides an authentic alternative to generic stock imagery. Our work is driven by the belief that no one should die giving life-Not me. Not her. Not us. Not anymore.
