  • Mission

Our mission is to empower youth to reach their potential through professional Flamenco dance training and the creation of visceral, cutting-edge Flamenco art.

    About Us

Flamenco Works was founded by a handful of mothers and Flamenco dancer, Jesús Muñoz. Our goal is to inspire children to dance Flamenco professionally while also showing them that the principles of dance discipline, etiquette and education can be applied to an everyday life of success. Excellence happens by habit, not by accident. Flamenco Works, located in Albuquerque’s inner-city of Barelas targets local families & youth. Not every family can pay for classes, but no child is turned away due to lack of finance.

Flamenco’s oral formulaic tradition is rooted deep in New Mexican culture. There are three private institutions, two charter schools, a trade school, three Flamenco venues and the university-who all practice weekly. Flamenco for us is more than a dance; It’s a celebration of life, love and death. We have created Flamenco Works as an extension of the interactive inclusion that is Flamenco art: To empower families and kids who normally live with less, without placing emphasis on what they don’t have and being grateful for what we do.
