Duke Environment empowers students with the practical and specific skills they need to pursue their environmental passions in a real and purposeful way by virtue of collaborating with driven individuals, pioneering faculty and industry professionals. Our two-year, on-campus Master of Environmental Management (MEM) and Master of Forestry (MF) programs provide students the opportunity to engage with others within a vibrant community, located in one of the country’s most active environmental cities – Durham, NC. Students may also study in “America’s Favorite Town” (Travel & Leisure), Beaufort, NC, at the Duke University Marine Lab. At either location, you will engage with others who are similarly striving to make a positive impact on the world.
Concentrations within the professional degrees are designed for students with varied undergraduate backgrounds and diverse career objectives. The two-year professional degree concentrations are:
- Business & Environment (BE)
- Coastal Environmental Management (CEM)
- Ecosystem Science and Conservation (ESC)
- Ecotoxicology and Environmental Health (EEH)
- Energy and Environment (EE)
- Environmental Economics and Policy (EEP)
