Friendship Academy (Friendship Adventures' Day Program)
Mission
Friendship Academy enriches the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by fostering meaningful friendships, personal growth, and joyful community experiences in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Our vision is a community where adults with developmental disabilities are seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are, with opportunities for belonging, purpose, creativity, connection, and lifelong friendships.
About Us
Our work is guided by the following core values:
Belonging and Inclusion: We create spaces where participants feel welcomed, accepted, included, and valued.
Friendship and Connection: We believe relationships are at the heart of the program and intentionally support meaningful friendships and social connection.
Dignity and Respect: We honor each participant's voice, preferences, abilities, autonomy, and lived experience.
Joy and Enrichment: We provide experiences that encourage joy, curiousity, creativity, laughter, and personal expression.
Safety and Trust: We prioritize physical, emotional, and relational safety so participants and families can trust the program environment.
