  • About Us

    PEACE for Families is the only provider of comprehensive services for victims of both domestic violence and sexual assault in Placer County. As an empowerment organization, we provide victims with services and resources that help them to plan their next steps as they begin their journey toward becoming survivors. We provide these services confidentially and at no charge to victims. In 2011 we provided over 1900 individuals with more than 4,700 services. Victims access our services at our Roseville and Auburn Service Offices and in our confidential Safe House. Our primary services include:

    • 24-Hour Crisis Line (800-575-5352)
    • 40-Bed confidential Safe House for women and their minor children fleeing life-threatening domestic violence or sexual assault
    • Placer County’s Rape Crisis Center
    • Individual, child, family and group therapy
    • Transitional Housing Program to assist victims on their way to long-term self-sufficiency
    • Legal and social services advocacy and accompaniment
    • Assistance with Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) and legal paperwork
    • Emergency food, clothing and transportation
    • Placer County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)—team dispatch and hospital accompaniment and advocacy for sexual assault victims
    • Domestic Violence Emergency Response Team (DVRT)—receive alerts from all local law enforcement agencies when officers respond to domestic violence calls and provide follow up
