Survivor Center

Survivor Center was founded in December 2023 in response to the alarming rise in violence against women in Florida and the lack of support services in my community. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

• Our mission is to provide lifesaving services, education, and empowerment to survivors of domestic violence and their children. We aim to achieve this by offering educational programs, support services, and by forming collaborations with various organizations to create a strong network of resources for those in need.
• Survivor Center envisions a world free from domestic violence. We are committed to working toward the global eradication of violence and firmly believe that a safe, peaceful world is possible.
• Our work is deeply personal. I bring lived experience of every form of violence, alongside over twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector. My journey began as a volunteer, and over time, I became an organizer, then a trained advocate and employee. I am a certified domestic violence advocate, a retired emergency medical technician (EMT), a certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor, and I have specialized training in mental health crisis intervention. Additionally, I serve as a Chaplain and work with a prison ministry.
